Designers United Team

Designers United is a design team that was brought into being by acclaimed art directors Dimitris Koliadimas and Dimitris Papazoglou in order to engage visual research and systematic methodology into the design process. DU creates print and digital graphics that enable businesses, art institutions and other organizations to improve and strengthen their visual language.

Dimitris Koliadimas

Dimitris was born in 1978 in Thessaloniki. He acquired his BA from the Technological Institution of Athens BA at the Graphic Arts Technology Department (1997-2001). He also did his postgraduate studies at the London College of Communication MA in Typo/graphic studies from which he graduated in 2002 with A Level Distinction. The subject of his dissertation was “Rhetoric: A virus within the contemporary language”, which was an experimental visual presentation of the use of personal pronouns in political speech.

He has been collaborating with Dimitris Papazoglou since 2005.

Both of them have received many distinctions worldwide and they have incorporated their work in numerous group exhibitions, lectures and presentations at academic institutions, conferences and seminars in Greece as well as abroad. Apart from the aforementioned accomplishments they have also taken part in a plethora of cultural projects and non profit ventures. They have also been selected as members of evaluation committees of graphic design projects. Finally it is worth mentioning that they have presented their work and been interviewed through periodicals and books published not only in Greece but in many other countries as well.

Dimitris Papazoglou

Dimitris was born in 1976 in Athens and has studied typography design and visual communication at Instituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Milan, Italy. He is currently employed as the art director of “E” periodical of the Eleftherotipia newspaper representing the Designers United team. His work has been distinguished both in Greece and abroad. Moreover, he was awarded with the “Grand EBGE” (2004) award at the national competition of the Greek Graphic Design and Illustration Awards. He has been teaching typography and visual communication to the postgraduate students of the AKTO institution since 2006. He is also always giving lectures at institutions and universities thus keeping up with all the latest updates in his field of interest. Some of these lectures include the ones presented at the Interuniversity Postgraduate Programme “Museology” of the A.U.Th. with Mrs. Matoula Skaltsa as the co-ordinator Museologist professor.
